I have been working in the care industry for 15 years, starting as a domiciliary care worker in Warwickshire I then developed my career by achieving my NEBS management award which enabled me to become a care coordinator for a domiciliary care company. In 2001 I moved to Gloucester and took up the post as registered manager. I have since undertaken various roles within that company including Human Resource Manager, Operations Manager and Business Development Manager. I am intending to become the Registered Manager of Cleeve Link. I have various qualifications including RMA and NVQ 4 in Health and Social care. My specialism is in Dom Care and I am the Chair of the GCPA.

Dave qualified as a Registered General Nurse (Level 1) in the April of 1991, but before this and as a student nurse he became a founder member of the ‘Pain control/assessment on the Ophthalmology Ward at Gloucester Royal Hospital where he stayed for 12 months waiting for a post to become available on the Trauma and Orthopaedic Unit at the same hospital. During this time he also registered with St. Vincent’s Nursing Agency as an agency nurse where he regularly attended shifts on behalf of the organisation as a charge nurse in a variety of elderly care nursing homes (some registered as E.M.I. Units) within the county of Gloucestershire. This in turn gave him experience and insight into the day to day nurse management of elderly care homes.
In 1992, Dave gained his post on the Trauma & Orthopaedic ward at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital where he practised and developed his role as a staff nurse. Also during this post, he gained his post-registration qualification being E.N.B.931 – ‘The Continuing Care of the Dying Patient and the Family’ in January 1996.
Dave left the employ of Gloucestershire Royal Hospital in May 1996 and took post as Nurse Manager at Northleach Court (under the Blanchworth Care Group) until December 1996, he then moved to Cowley Manor (under the Blanchworth Care Group) until June 1997. Both of these homes were dual registered E.M.I. Units within which he progressed his elderly care experience. In June/July 1997, he took post with St. Vincent’s Nursing Agency (now known as St. Vincent’s Care) as General Nurse Manager and has been in post since, overseeing all of the organisation’s operations.

Louise is a Partner working in the Commercial Property Department, and leader of the Healthcare Sector Team. She advises and assists clients on the acquisition and disposal of properties within the health and care market. Louise has also worked on refinancing property for the purposes of expansion to the business, or extension to the current property. Louise has worked with both start up companies and going concerns and has a good experience of dealing with issues particular to the health and care market, whether it be regulatory compliance or financial and business structures. Louise has good links and working relationships with banks and often acts for them in relation to secured loans and other property matters. This familiarity with lenders' funding requirements makes the transaction proceed quickly and efficiently. Louise also has good ties with expert surveyors, valuers, accountants and other professionals in the sector.

Justine joined the GCPA in November 2009 and works behind the scenes preparing and coordinating the running of the GCPA offices on the Cleeve Link premises. Justine is available to support members (this service is free of charge) and works in partnership with the Quality Assurance Programme. She is able to deliver packages to members in relation to Risk Assessment, Audits and Mapping Evidence. Justine is also able to assist with the implementation of Provider Compliance Assessments as well as speaking with CQC on behalf of members. Please get in touch if you require assistance.
