Job Title: Registered Home Care Manager Location: Swinon
Salary: £25,000 per annum + Commission, fully expensed company Car

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Home Care Manager based in Swindon to join an expanding company. Responsible for Domiciliary Health Care Workers and employees (DHCW) the Manager will ensure that the Home Care Service meets the needs of the Service Users and is compliant with regulations. The office has excellent CQC audit reports following a recent inspection. It also provides into 3 long term Council contracts for domiciliary care and has scope for significant growth.
As a Registered Home Care Manager your duties will include:
• Marketing and development
o Developing positive relationships with purchasers of services and in particular appropriate Social Services and hospital personnel.
o Ensuring that advisors to those considering home care, e.g. Help the Aged, are aware of our services and hold our information.
• Regulation and compliance
o Understand, interpret and apply (to ensure compliance) legislation, regulations and contract requirements to the service
o Follow relevant company, social services and funding agency’s policies and procedures and ensure that the DHCWs do so at all times. Contribute to policy reviews
o Ensure that relevant records and documents are kept and updated in relation to the delivery of care, recruitment, training and supervision of DHCWs.
• Management of the service
o Managing the workforce through the supervisory and senior care staff.
o Ensure the most effective allocation of work and duties to the DHCW.
o Ensuring that adequate numbers of compliant staff are recruited for the needs of the service while adhering to the company policies and procedures.
o Operate as a member of the Network Healthcare team.
• Client responsibilities
o Deal with enquiries from potential clients and appropriate follow up to support their decision making.
o Assess the requirements of private and social service commissioned service users, organising appropriate staff to continually provide the agreed care service.
o Arrange the assessment of a client’s needs and presentation of a costed care proposal (liaising with the Agency Manager, Senior Care staff and other appropriate agencies).
• Quality Management
o Ensure that the service is delivered to high standards at all times.
o Report concerns and problems involving the Service User, their family and yourself to the Agency Manager.
o Conduct periodic quality surveys and produce reports
An ideal Registered Home Care Manager will hold the following skills and experiences:
• Satisfy the requirements of CQC for the management of the agency
• NVQ Level 5 or equivalent.
• Extensive experience at least at supervisory level in a domiciliary care business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; being able to express themselves clearly and understand and interpret accurately, keep accurate records. Write and present complex documents
• Good organisation and time management skills, being self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative.
• Ability to maintain good relationships with office based and care staff, service users and other Network offices and Head Office.
• Motivational attributes to lead and direct staff.
• Open minded approach to change, being able to effectively implement new and changed arrangements.
• Computer literate with the ability to use and train others in specialist software .
• A clear enhanced CRB with an honest and trustworthy character.
• Physical stamina and ability to cope with the demands of the job.
• Ability to work in occasionally stressful and challenging environments.
• Non judgemental and able to work within the requirements of the Service Users standards and lifestyle.
• Flexibility in working hours and location of work to ensure service user requirements are always met.
• Car driver essential.
