Gloucestershire Care Providers Association is a membership body open to all independent providers of social care (private, not-for-profit and charitable organisations) delivering care to people in their own homes or in a residential setting within Gloucestershire. Our members work with older people, people with learning difficulties and people with disabilities.

Membership of GCPA is a sign of a progressive organisation, committed to delivering the highest standards of care and keen to play an active part in the county’s wider social care community.
The GCPA are working in partnership with Care Choices to produce the Care Directory 2013/14 for our region.

We have pleasure in attaching our 2013 Budget Summary for your perusal. Whilst as usual nothing major changes, the summary documents all the details in an easy to read layout. A few of highlights are: - the increasing of the individual personal allowance to £10,000 per person from April 2014 (a year earlier than originally planned). From April 2013 it is £9,440 - the introduction of an allowance of £2,000 per year for all businesses and charities to be offset against their employer Class 1 NIC liability from April 2014 - flat rate expenses being clarified for “use of home as office” dependant on the number of relevant hours - a new scheme for tax free childcare - the introduction of a cash basis of reporting profits for small unincorporated businesses (i.e. non companies)
