  • Do you need a local representative body to provide a platform for issues to be raised and for independent care providers to speak collectively to the people they serve?
  • Do you think care providers should have a say in Local Authority and NHS policies for care provision?
  • Should care providers be involved in the financial planning for local provision of care?
  • Should local Councilors and MPs be informed of the concerns of care providers about the development of care provision in Gloucestershire?
  • Do you think there is any value in working with other social care providers to help the local CQC office understand the issues we face and encourage them to work with us to improve standards. Should care providers seek to influence the way the central government grants for training in our sector are spent.

If your answer is YES to any of these questions, please support our Association and the people we care for by joining Gloucestershire Care Providers Association.

We are sponsored by Rickerbys LLP and are able to offer a free initial consultation to members about matters relating to Health and Social Care.  Rickerbys will attend People in Care Meetings and provide up to date information to members about changes to Employment Law, Powers of Attorney, Contract Law etc.

Membership is open to all independent providers of social care (private, not-for-profit and charitable organisations) delivering care to people in their own homes or in a residential or nursing setting within Gloucestershire.

Our members work with older people, people with learning difficulties and people with disabilities.

The stronger our membership, the stronger our negotiating power on your behalf.

When you become a member, you will be issued with your own username and password so that you may log into the website and access information only available for members. The use of our website will show you the many ways in which you can save money.  The Association offers a loyalty scheme (please see Member Loyalty Page), this scheme offers savings to our members, if you require further details, please contact me at care@gcpa.co.uk   The services of our Administrator are also free to members, Justine can assist any member with administration assistance, including Auditing, Risk Assessments, Provider Compliance Assessment and much much more.  The cost of membership also includes free attendance to meetings held by GCPA. These meetings are care specific and can be attended by any member of staff although the indication is that Manager's are able to network and then spread the information back.   Our Annual Conference is growing in attendance and we are delighted that we are able to offer tickets at subsidised prices for members.  Recent years have included the Re-registration Process and End of Life Care.  This years topic was The Future of Care.

Membership is varied and we are always happy to hear from the Sector if there are issues that need addressing.  So why not become a member today...

If you are not a member of the Association, we charge £5.00 to attend each meeting to cover the costs of room hire and refreshments.
