This opportunity is available to all providers in the county, regardless of location and type of care you provide, there are students looking for industry placements as care staff, nursing staff, business management and therapy roles.

Completing the below form is an expression of interest will allow One Gloucestershire, GCPA and/or Cirencester College to contact you to give a bit more detail on the initiative.

Care providers will be able to vet the student(s) before accepting them on a placement, but this represents an excellent chance to enhance your future work pipeline and connect your company with young people with up-to-date skills, who are looking for a career in your industry.

What are T-Levels?

T-Levels (Technical Levels) are an alternative to A-levels, apprenticeships and other age 16-19 courses. Equivalent in size to 3 A-Levels, a T-Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher study or apprenticeships.

Each T-Level includes an in-depth industry placement that lasts at least 45 days. Students get valuable experience in the workplace and employers get early sight of the new talent in their industry.

T-Level students spend 80% of the course in their learning environment, gaining the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action. This equates to one day a week spent with your organisation.

Currently, Cirencester has T-Levels in Adult Nursing, Healthcare Science and Mental Health, which has elements of integral information for students aspiring to work in adult social care, but it is important that more is included in the syllabuses to ensure students receive information about adult social care.
